The Council of Ministers called on Iran to immediately and unconditionally stop these sinful attacks and bear full responsibility for these attacks, as they represent a blatant aggression against the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and a grave violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026. Emphasizing the State of Kuwait’s categorical rejection of these aggressive practices and stressing that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its lands and vital installations against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law. On the other hand, the Council of Ministers expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued escalation and establishment of the Israeli occupation forces against the sisterly Republic of Lebanon. In support of efforts aimed at promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy and establishing standards of nuclear security and safety, and within the framework of the reforms and changes aimed at by the government’s approach to merging and abolishing some government bodies, institutions and agencies, with the aim of developing government services and ensuring their effectiveness, balance and non-interference in their jurisdictions, the Council of Ministers approved a draft decree law to repeal Law No. 100 of 2015 regarding the establishment of the General Youth Authority so that the General Sports Authority replaces the General Youth Authority in all rights and obligations. The Council of Ministers also approved a draft decree law amending Law No. 100 of 2015 regarding the establishment of the General Youth Authority. Some provisions of Law No. 97 of 2015 regarding the establishment of the Public Authority for Sports, whereby the name of the Public Authority for Sports will be replaced with the name of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports wherever it appears in the laws and regulations. In light of the Cabinet’s close follow-up of all the work undertaken by ministries and government agencies in light of the current circumstances, the Cabinet reviewed the reports submitted by His Excellency the ministers and government agencies on the measures taken to raise the degree of readiness to its highest levels to ensure the safety of citizens and residents and provide all necessary services.
