The organization of the event comes at a time when the real estate and urban sector is witnessing a decline in The Sultanate of Oman is witnessing rapid movement and qualitative transformations that reflect national goals. Sultan Haitham City The opening ceremony witnessed the announcement of a package of strategic agreements and projects related to future cities, most notably Sultan Haitham City; The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning signed a partnership agreement and the development of residential neighborhoods (3, 15 and 17) with the Saudi Retal Real Estate Development Company on an area exceeding 640 thousand square meters, with an investment value exceeding 320 million Omani riyals, in a step that reflects the growing confidence in major urban projects in the Sultanate of Oman, and the attractiveness of the investment environment provided by future cities. The first package (A) was also assigned to the preparation and site leveling works for the neighborhoods and the eastern boulevard, with an investment value of 6.8 million. Omani riyals for the benefit of the Tasnim Group, in addition to assigning the twelfth package for the construction of external roads, bridges and underpasses, and utility works extending from Muscat Expressway to Sultan Haitham City, with a value exceeding 40 million Omani riyals, for the benefit of Strabag Oman Company, in addition to assigning the ninth package (A) for landscaping and gardening works for roads and pedestrian walkways, with an investment value exceeding 3 million Omani riyals, to GDS Company, which reflects the acceleration of the pace of implementation and completion of the project’s infrastructure according to the highest urban and engineering standards. Al Thuraya, in Al Thuraya City, witnessed the opening of a tender to provide consulting services to supervise the construction work of developers with an investment value exceeding 3 million Omani Riyals in cooperation with Al Khatib and Al Alami Company within the framework of completing the executive aspects of the project, enhancing the quality of work and technical governance of development projects. Al Khuwair Downtown Plan During the opening ceremony, the signing of a development memorandum of understanding in the Al Khuwair Downtown project with the Turkish Artas Holding Company in a step that enhances the development of the project as a modern economic urban center in the heart of the capital, Muscat. Modern neighborhoods also witnessed the signing of five Agreements to develop integrated residential neighborhoods in Muscat Governorate, Al Dakhiliyah Governorates, South Al Batinah, North and South Al Sharqiyah, with a total investment value exceeding 123 million Omani riyals. To provide 2,167 housing units, as part of the “Sorouh” initiative aimed at developing sustainable and diverse urban communities in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The first agreement included developing an integrated residential neighborhood in the Wilayat of Al Hamra on an area exceeding 454 thousand square meters, which includes 322 housing units with an investment value estimated at approximately 16 million Omani riyals, developed by Ejad Engineering Consulting Company. As for the second agreement, it is related to developing a residential neighborhood in the Wilayat of Al Amerat on an area exceeding 300 thousand square meters. It includes 1,006 residential units with an investment value of 62 million Omani riyals, developed by Al Masah Real Estate Company. The third agreement stipulates the development of a residential neighborhood in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan on an area exceeding 320,000 square meters, including 312 residential units with an investment value amounting to 15 million Omani Riyals, developed by Siraj Investment Company. The fourth agreement also included the development of a residential neighborhood in the Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid on an area exceeding 80,000 square meters that includes 118 residential units with an investment value of 6 million riyals. The targeted governorates include North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dakhiliyah, and South Al Batinah, which reflects the balanced distribution of development projects at the level of the Sultanate of Oman, and enhances the partnership between the public and private sectors in developing the modern and integrated housing system. Social Housing On the level of social responsibility, the opening witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Dar Al Attaa Association; To cooperate in implementing social housing projects, and to provide safe housing for deserving families as an extension of the successes achieved in the “Al-Ataa Neighborhood 1” project in the state of Al-Khaboura. The agreement included the implementation of the “Al Ataa District 2 and Al Ataa 3” projects in the Wilayat of Al Amerat, with 20 homes, in addition to the implementation of the “Together We Build…Together We Achieve Impact” initiative to provide 25 homes in various states of the Sultanate of Oman, which embodies the importance of integration between the government sector and community institutions in supporting social stability and enhancing the quality of life. The Dar Al Attaa Association seeks to achieve its mission of promoting solidarity and social cohesion. Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dar Al Attaa Association, said: The launch of the initiative comes “Together we build…together we achieve impact” as entrusted by our wise government under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq – may God protect and preserve him – and based on Oman Vision 2024 to achieve the features of a renewed renaissance that takes us day after day from one achievement to a greater achievement and to major development and economic projects. The project will be based on 3 plans, which are Al-Ataa District No. 2 and Al-Ataa District No. 3, which will be in the state of Al-Amerat. Each plan includes building 10 houses, with a total of 20 houses, while the rest of the houses that will be created will be 25 in number. Distributed across the various states of the Sultanate of Oman – in cooperation with volunteer charitable teams whose role will be to nominate 3 of the deserving families, study the social status of each case, and provide the association with all the required documents and data. The association studies these cases and their suitability to the specifications and fulfills all the required conditions. The association selects one case from each state, and construction, supervision, and financing are carried out in accordance with the specified appropriations. Endowment Investment Opportunities. The conference witnessed the Omani Endowment Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, presenting a number of endowment opportunities for investment. Through the “Tatweer” platform, within an organized governance framework that enhances integration and transparency, and provides clear procedures for investors, which contribute to raising the efficiency of investing endowment assets and maximizing their economic and social impact. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Amer Al-Sawai, acting CEO of the Omani Endowment Foundation, said: This step represents a practical direction towards developing endowment investment tools, noting that offering investment opportunities through the “Tatweer” platform contributes to creating a more efficient and clear environment, and enhances the confidence of investors and civil society, in addition to supporting qualitative institutional partnerships whose effects are directly reflected on the economic and social development in the Sultanate of Oman. Capacity building and in conjunction with the launch of the Oman Real Estate Exhibition and Conference 2026 The “Ruwad” program will continue its training work at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center through specialized sessions in marketing real estate apartments, professionalizing real estate brokerage, building relationships and completing deals with the participation of 45 participants from architecture and planning majors students and job seekers, within the framework of an approach aimed at qualifying national competencies and enabling them to keep pace with the requirements of the modern real estate market by providing them with sales and negotiation skills and the use of modern digital tools in addition to enhancing the concepts of Omani architectural identity and innovation in design solutions, and supporting opportunities for… Independent work in the real estate and urban sector. The program continues through intensive workshops and training camps, with its technical outputs and solutions being presented within the activities of the Oman Real Estate Exhibition and Conference 2026, reflecting the ministry’s directions towards building a more advanced and sustainable urban system. The future of the real estate sector. The conference includes a specialized knowledge program that includes more than 50 dialogue sessions and working papers with the participation of more than 95 local and international speakers from officials, decision makers, experts, developers, architects and specialists from within the Sultanate of Oman.
