Eyewitnesses reported, according to local media, that the Stabilization Support Service, headed by Ghanwa Al-Kakli, targeted the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Force, affiliated with Mukhtar Al-Jahawi, in the city of Gharyan.

According to the Libya Press electronic platform, the Stabilization Support Forces forces, after the attack they launched, seized all the vehicles and weapons inside the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Force.

According to the media, the anti-terrorism force led by Al-Jahhawi declared a state of emergency after its headquarters was attacked.

The situation is still tense in the city of Gharyan between the Stabilization Support Service and the 555th Brigade on the one hand, and the Counter-Terrorism Force on the other hand.

Witnesses reported that a convoy of the anti-combat force left towards the city of Gharyan, while a force from the Stabilization Force and the 555th Brigade deployed in large areas, including the Al-Heera area. A force also departed from Abu Salim to support it, where sounds of “disarming weapons” could be heard, according to witnesses.

There were conflicting reports about the cause of the clashes in the city of Gharyan, and sources suggested that the tension occurred after an attack launched by a force from the Stability Support Forces and the 555th Brigade, in rejection of the presence of mechanisms inside one of the headquarters, which the anti-government forces seized from the Stabilization Support headquarters.

According to other sources, clashes broke out between the Counter-Terrorism Force and the Support and Stabilization Service against the backdrop of the arrest of 3 officers from the Support Force.
